What can be grown in an Urban Commercial Garden?

In a raised bed garden about 4 x8 we can grow enough plants to harvest every few weeks. The secret is to pick great verities that do well in small spaces and grow very fast. This would include super healthy greens like collards, Swiss chard, spinach, kales, and root crops like radish, turnips, and beets. Urban gardens are great for herbs as well. Cilantro, parsley, sage, oregano, thyme, lavender, and mint.  Many restaurant and bar managers enjoy having local access to edible flowers like nasturtiums, buzz buttons, marigold gems and winter dianthus to dazzle up their cocktail menus.

Our gardens are maintenance weekly all year around to keep plants healthy and pest free organically.

Commercial garden vs. a home garden?

If you are building a commercial landscape installation you want to make sure it is durable, useful and a good fit aesthetically for the surrounding landscape. Standard garden building materials for residential gardens is usually cedar or corrugated metal kits. However, in an industrial or commercial site these will not hold up long term, so we choose a more robust material. The first choose is a recycled concrete pressed panel board called Durable Green Beds. The second are commercial planters for patio installations like the Tournesole or GlowPear brand self-watering systems. The same healthy organic soil and high-level

organic fertilizer goes into each garden Urban Dirt Co builds. Weekly maintenance year around is the secret to our professional gardening success.
